Beko, Europe’s leading large home appliance brand, proudly co-presented the 10th Himig ng Kabataan: Alay Kay Don Bosco Choral Competition, continuing its commitment to supporting Filipino youth, music, and community development. The event was held at St. John Bosco Parish in Makati City (Jubilee Church for Artists, Musical Bands, and Athletes) as part of the parish’s 47th anniversary and Jubilee Year celebration with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”
A Platform for Church-Based Choirs
Now in its 10th year, the Himig ng Kabataan has established itself as one of the country’s longest-running church-based choir competitions.
“The event provides an exclusive platform for church-based choirs to be heard and make a mark in the choral music scene in the Philippines. We aim to be the country’s longest-running church-based choir competition,” shared Mr. Gaylord Villa, Music Ministry Head of St. John Bosco Parish Makati.
This year, eight choirs showcased their vocal talent and harmony before a cheering crowd:
- Coro Jesu
- Himig San Vicente
- Koro ni San Jose
- Koro ni San Miguel
- Malabon Concert Singers
- OMPHP Youth Ensemble VI
- San Andres Chamber Singers
- The Vennekreds
The Grand Winners
The competition was filled with powerful and moving performances that highlighted the richness of Filipino choral talent.
Grand Champion – Malabon Concert Singers (PHP 100,000)
1st Runner-Up – Coro Jesu (PHP 50,000)
2nd Runner-Up – The Vennekreds (PHP 30,000)

People’s Choice Award: San Andres Chamber Singers
